Rules and regulations
General rules
- The playground equipment is for children up to 11 only.
- Please do not use studded football boots in the gardens because they damage the lawn. General ball games however are allowed.
- Make sure the gates are locked behind you at all times when you enter and leave.
- Collect all your possessions and rubbish when you leave so the gardens stay clean and tidy for everyone.
- Please do not leave rubbish in the bins at the communal entrances, as these belong to the residents.
- If you leave the gardens late at night, please keep the noise down when you go through the communal gates.
- Please do not leave unwanted furniture in the gardens. If you are moving home and want to dispose of garden furniture, please contact us first.
- Please wait until the fruit is ready before picking from the fruit trees, and do not let children pick fruit from the ground and eat it.
- Barbeques are not allowed.
Dogs
- Please clear up after your dog.
- Do not put your dog's mess in the residents' bins.
- Children and babies play in the grass - don't leave your dog's mess for them to step in.
Lastly to our lovely teenagers
- Garden furniture are not missiles to be thrown about to see where they land. We have a rather large number of broken tables and chairs.
- Empty beer cans, cigarette packs, butts, and pizza boxes do not grow into flowers when left on the grass.
- Please take everything home with you and leave the garden as you found it.
- As stated above, the swings are far too small for you.
Parties and events in the garden
Parties are very popular during the summer, please email Claudine with your requests.
Although the gardens are big enough to accomodate 2 parties at a time, you may wish to reserve a particular space e.g. the top lawn or the rose gardens.
The playground is open to residents all the time and cannot be reserved for a party.
Please ensure you take your rubbish away and avoid putting it in residents bins' when you leave.
Party rules,
- Our public liability insurance does not allow bouncy castles, trampolines, inflatable paddling pools or barbeques in the gardens.
- Plastic confetti is not allowed including the confetti in balloons, as they cause a lot of problems for the garden.
- Evening parties must end at 9pm.
- Music must be kept at a reasonable level so as not to disturb the residents and other visitors to the gardens.
